SaaS Product

Dataholder is a platform designed for streamlined data storage and analysis. Its primary focus is to simplify how users manage large datasets, providing tools for effortless data analytics and metrics tracking. By offering features like custom-built databases and easy integration, it allows businesses and individuals to store, analyze, and retrieve data efficiently. It also supports various use cases from data-driven decision-making to advanced metrics visualization.

The project was developed in response to the growing demand from businesses to manage large datasets. Existing solutions were often difficult to integrate and use, especially for small and medium-sized companies. Our goal was to create a simple and intuitive solution that would meet the needs of SMEs.

Project Goal/Problem

Problem: Companies were struggling with handling disparate data, and existing tools were either too complex or expensive.

Goal: To develop a platform that offers a simple way to manage and analyze data, accessible to a wide range of businesses, and solves the issue of cumbersome and costly solutions.

My role in the Dataholder project

I was responsible for the full design cycle, from researching and analyzing competitors to creating prototypes and final designs for the platform and commercial website. My tasks also included collaborating with developers and participating in interface testing.

Analysis and Research

Competitor Research: We studied existing solutions, such as Google Data Studio and Microsoft Power BI, to understand their weaknesses in terms of user-friendliness and flexibility.
User Analysis: We conducted interviews with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses to identify their key pain points in data management. The primary takeaway was the need for a simpler interface and quick data integration.

Design Process

Ideation and Prototyping: Several interface sketches were created and discussed with the team and users. Based on feedback, interactive prototypes were developed.
UI/UX Design: The Dataholder was executed in a minimalist style, focusing on ease of working with large datasets. Special attention was paid to navigation and the interface for visualizing metrics.
Website Development: The commercial website was designed to attract customers, emphasizing the product’s benefits and the ease of registration.

Results

  • The platform was successfully integrated into several businesses, which reported improvements in data management and analysis.
  • Enhanced speed and simplicity when working with disparate data sources.
  • The commercial website attracted new users through marketing campaigns.

As a result, over 80 screens were designed, encompassing two themes: light and dark. The design was fully responsive, catering to desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Additionally, a commercial website was created to showcase and promote the product.
